I grew up on the Gold Coast and have loved cricket since I was 12. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of playing Premier Women’s Cricket in Brisbane during my teen years and later in Sydney while studying at university and working.

I’ve always loved the game—the camaraderie, the friendships, and the skill it takes to compete. What started as a passion for playing slowly grew into a love for coaching.

Since moving to Townsville, I’ve spent the past five years involved in both community and representative coaching. It’s been incredible to see the progress in the Women’s and Girls’ space—it genuinely inspires me to keep building high-level competitions for Townsville and the wider North Queensland region.

Professionally, Mady made the leap from nursing to join Queensland Cricket as Townsville’s first Competitions Administrator. In this role, she works closely with the local cricketing community and the CNQ Committee to keep the game thriving.
